Specific Healing/Buff Magics can only be gained when 1) the player has an ability point, and 2) the player is as high as the abilities corresponding level. Buffs costs MP to cast.
Healing magic heals self, an ally or group of allies.
Healing:
Buffs are any magic that improves a character's stats. Curses/Debuffs lower a character's stats or remove buffs. This type of magic may effect a single enemy or group of enemies.

Note: If player/creature casts, for example, 'Strength' on himself or an ally, an enemy cannot cast 'Weaken' on that same target unless he is of a higher level. Instead, he must cast 'Abolish' to remove the buff, then he may be able to recast 'Weaken', or vice versa.

(Level 1) Restore - Heals minor wounds. Also damages undead.
(Level 5) Greater Restore - Heals greater wounds. Also damages undead.
(Level 8) Resurrect - Revives a fallen ally to half health/mana.

(Level 5) Amplify Damage - Causes the enemy to take additional damage.
(Level 8) Iron Maiden - Enemy's also hurt themselves with their own attacks.
(Level 10) Life Tap - As you damage an enemy, you regain health.
(Level 12) Lower Resist - Enemy is no longer naturally resistant to particular type of magic, and natural weaknesses increase.
